“Our sisterhood is not a destination, but a journey.”
Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Colorado! For nearly 150 years Kappa Alpha Theta has been leading the way for women in higher education and continues to be a leading women’s group. Our founders recognized the potential of college women and the members of our chapter aim to uphold their aspirations of truest sisterhood and personal excellence.
When first established in 1921 the Beta Iota chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta quickly developed a reputation for the highest scholarship and extraordinary leadership on the Boulder campus. The members of our chapter are truly some of the most dedicated students, loyal sisters, and outstanding college women who are leaders in the Boulder community. As sorority women we strive for personal growth by challenging ourselves academically, celebrating and embracing the community’s diversity, and developing everlasting bonds within our sisterhood.
The Beta Iota chapter continues to enrich and develop its members by fostering endless opportunities during their college experience. We prioritize intellectual curiosity through our member educations, encourage a strong commitment to service through our philanthropies, inspire leadership potential through our involvement within the Greek community, and promote personal excellence through the lifetime membership in Kappa Alpha Theta. The members of this chapter truly encompass all that Kappa Alpha Theta stands for and it is a privilege to serve as president to such an amazing group of leading women.
