“Our sisterhood is not a destination, but a journey.”
Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Colorado! For nearly 150 years Kappa Alpha Theta has been leading the way for women in higher education and continues to be a leading women’s group. Our founders recognized the potential of college women and to this day, our chapter aims to uphold their aspirations.
When first established in 1921 the Beta Iota chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta quickly developed a reputation for the highest scholarship and extraordinary leadership on the Boulder campus. The members of our chapter are truly some of the most dedicated students, loyal sisters, and outstanding college women in the Boulder community. As sorority women, we strive for personal growth by challenging ourselves academically, celebrating and embracing the community’s diversity, and developing everlasting bonds within our sisterhood. We have members in many different majors, and our sisters are involved in all sorts of extracurricular activities across campus. However, our similar values brought all of us to this outstanding house.
The Beta Iota chapter continues to enrich and develop its members by fostering endless opportunities during their college experience. We prioritize intellectual curiosity through our member educations and encourage a strong commitment to service through our philanthropies, as well as our annual Theta Day of Service. We inspire leadership potential through our involvement within the Greek community and promote personal excellence through the lifetime membership in Kappa Alpha Theta. The members of this chapter truly encompass all that Kappa Alpha Theta stands for and it is a privilege to serve as president to such an amazingly strong and ambitious group of leading women.
