Kappa Alpha Theta

Beta Iota Chapter University of Colorado

Social

Every year Theta hosts a variety of events including mixers, date dashes, sisterhoods, and formals. Take a look at some of the events we hosted this year!

Mixers

Mixers are a great way for Theta to get involved with the fraternities in the Greek community here on campus. From 80's themed karaoke night to wedding themed dinners, these events are a really fun way to meet members in various fraternities across campus. With a theme for each event, it's not only fun dressing up but also seeing what everyone else wears!

Date Dashes

For date dash events, sisters get to invite their boyfriend, best friend, or a random guy they approach last minute in the dining hall (no joke)! Date dashes are a great way for members to introduce their friends outside of Theta to their sisters, and can even be a great date night! This past year, the Theta ladies brought their dates to haunted houses, the Denver Zoo Lights, the movie theater, the Grizzly Rose for a night of dancing, and so much more!

Sisterhoods

Sisterhood events are definitely a chapter favorite! They are a great way to get closer to girls in the house in a fun and relaxed way. We bond over crafts in the kitchen, ice cream/taco trucks, movies in the TV room, and have even invited over massage therapists during finals week. Sometimes we all just need a little time to relax with our sisters.

Formal

Formal is the highlight of every semester! All of the girls get dressed up and bring their favorite girl or guy. Formal always takes place at a secret venue, so no one ever knows where we are going until the bus stops in front of the venue! This past year we had our fall formal at a local mansion and our spring formal was held at a venue just blocks away from our house along the Boulder creek. In the past however, we have had formal at Red Rocks and at the top of a Downtown Denver Hotel! We always have fun enjoying the catered food, dancing the night away with our sisters and dates, and taking lots and lots of pictures.
